Surprise Weekend Getaway

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m an Executive Assistant at Facebook and support 3 directors so it’s in my DNA to be organized, pay attention to details, and most importantly plan to make sure everything runs smoothly. That being said I’m a control freak and rarely ever have someone organize my plans. My boyfriend somehow pulled off a surprise weekend trip and totally blew me away. All the reservations were made, activities at the hotel scoped out, and the cherry on top, massage appointments! We stayed at Crystal Springs Resort in Sussex County, New Jersey. This is a beautiful resort in the mountains and everything you need is under their roof. We stayed in a suite and it was like an apartment with a modern kitchen, living space with electric fireplace, and a patio right off the living room. The bathroom was my favorite part because of the heated floors which was heavenly along with a jacuzzi tub and TV to watch while you’re getting ready. Needless to say I spent a lot of time in there, and was so sad to leave that behind.

There is so much going on at the hotel we didn’t leave the premise for the 3 days we were there. Our first night they had a petting zoo with tons of animals and bonfires with s’mores and hot chocolate. They have a biosphere pool that’s open until 10PM so we went night swimming and the minute you walk into the pool area you feel like you’re transported to warm weather and forget it’s snowing outside! I have never seen a nicer indoor pool. I highly recommend checking out their wine cellar tour that contains over 10 MILLION dollars of wine, it’s truly incredible! Now I’m down to the final countdown for my trip to Jamaica in 5 days!! I’m so excited to fully relax and soak up that island sunshine!
