Packing Organization
Summer is finally upon us and that means travel season is in full swing! When you live in New Jersey that means warm sunny weekends spent at the beach. I’m heading to my favorite place on Earth this weekend, Long Beach Island and wanted to share photos I took of how I pack. I was listening to Lauren Conrad’s new podcast this morning “Asking for a Friend” and it was an episode around organization [sign from the universe pushing me to get this post up] and she said, “life can be a hot mess, but at least my shoes are lined up.” I’m sure I’m not the only one that could relate to that quote :)
Packing Tips:
Clear bags whenever possible to minimize time spent digging to find what you actually need.
Reusable bottles for shower products. Cost efficient + less plastic waste!
Binder clips for all electronic wires to avoid knots. Nobody wants to spend their vacation untangling wires.
Sunglass box for accessories.
Save jewelry gift bags and pack your delicates in separate bags.
Pencil case for makeup brushes. The long shape is perfect for the brushes to not get bent!
Beach Bag Essentials
Sun tan lotion
Travel size tums + ibprofin
Hair ties, because who can realistically keep their hair down at the beach all day……??
Baby powder to help get the sand off. This is one of my favorite hacks to freshen up straight from the beach to happy hour :)
Reusable bottles with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Templo Blue Lavender + Geranium Himalayan Body Polish. This has saved me from peeling by exfoliating my body in the shower after a full day soaking up Vitamin D.
Makeup + perfume
Evian Facial Spray nothing more refreshing!
Gum + mints
Hand sanitizer
Headphones
Eye mask help you catch those extra zzz’s
